In a partnership between CUNY and Wikimedia New York City, CUNY’s Wikimedian-in-Residence, Richard Knipel, is actively working with faculty, students, and staff to make the University’s research more accessible to the public while contributing to the Wikimedia umbrella of websites.
This two-year project, funded by Craig Newmark Philanthropies, leverages the incredible research expertise of CUNY’s faculty and students, along with select items from CUNY’s archives, to improve and expand information available to the public on Wikipedia, while connecting a wider audience with CUNY’s rich library and archive collections.
