Join Wikimedia NYC for a special NYC 400 Wiknic and Edit-A-Thon in partnership with Washington Square Park. A Wiknic, is a “picnic that anyone can edit,” and we’ll be focusing on editing articles related to the 400 neighborhoods and New Yorkers that were nominated for detailed Wikipedia articles. Check out Wikimedia NYC 400 campaign for more details. For those interested in Wikimedia Commons, we’ll do a photo walk around the park and Greenwich Village and work together to upload the images to Commons.
