What’s a Wikimedian-in-Residence?
A Wikimedian-in-Residence (aka, a Wikipedian-in-Residence) is a Wikipedia editor working within an institution (such as a university, library, or museum) to facilitate the sharing of mission-related information to Wikipedia, while at the same time encouraging and assisting in the open sharing of information from that institution to a broader public via Wikipedia. In this way, both the institution and the broader public benefit from the free access to fact-based information.
